OSEI DURO


Osei-duro is a Los Angeles, CA and Accra, Ghana based fashion label founded by best friend duo Molly Keogh and Maryanne Mathias. Their aim is to support the local Ghanaian apparel industry – on both a large and small scale – in becoming sustainable and work towards a vibrant fashion industry that exceeds international production standards while respecting the rights and aesthetics of local makers. All of their textiles are indeed locally produced applying traditional techniques such as hand dyeing and weaving by skilled local garment workers and craftsmen in Ghana.

RAFFIA


Raffia was founded in 2013 by Madonna Kendona-Sowah. An avid consumer of all things fashion, she realized that northern Ghanaian textiles aka “Gonja cloth” or “batakari” didn’t feature in mainstream designs. Seeing an opportunity to combine her love of fashion and her training in Economic Development, she founded Raffia. The label showcases beautiful textiles with elegant designs and promotes employment and education in the Northern and Upper East regions of Ghana.
