Shopping at Christie Brown | The Residence

Christie Brown is a Ghanaian fashion brand that has become known for its stunning contemporary designs, unique textiles, and commitment to sustainability. Recently, the brand opened a new space in Accra, The Residence, and we had the opportunity to visit and chat with the founder, Aisha Ayensu.

The new shop is a reflection of Christie Brown's aesthetic and values, with its minimalist design, natural materials, and attention to detail. Aisha shared with us her vision for the new space, which was to create an environment that felt welcoming and inspiring to customers, while also showcasing the brand's commitment to sustainable practices.

We were particularly impressed by the brand's use of traditional Ghanaian textiles in their designs, and Aisha explained how important it was for her to showcase the beauty and heritage of these fabrics in her collections. She also shared with us the challenges of sourcing these textiles sustainably, and how the brand is working to create relationships with local artisans to ensure fair and ethical production.

We also got to try on a few pieces from the latest collections, which are a perfect blend of modern and traditional African styles. The new shop features a wide range of clothing items, including dresses, tops, skirts, and pants, as well as accessories such as jewellery and statement corsets.

It was great to catch up with Aisha and we're always inspired by Aisha's passion for sustainability, Ghanaian textiles, and creating a brand that offers something unique and meaningful to customers.
